Hotel Whitepod - Switzerland
This unconventional, beautiful geodesic dome-shaped accommodation is definitely on top of my “must stay” list. Only open for a limited time during the summer and winter seasons, it is advisable to plan your special adventure to the dome well ahead of time, in order to secure the pod you desire most! In the summer, the exterior colour of the domes are green and during winter, white, to adapt and blend into the colours of the seasonal landscape. Designed to combine ecology and luxury, each dome is also individually decorated. Not only are the panorama scenery amazing, there’s plenty of different activities you will be able to enjoy at the mountaintop, including a relaxing spa!

ION Adventure Hotel - Iceland
Thou this is not exactly an alpine hotel, but we decided to include it into the list as it is simply too stunning!
There is something mystical and magical about Iceland, and an ultimate travel destination for many! The ION Adventure Hotel is located on the slopes of Mount Hengill, strategically close by the “Golden Circle” route, allowing convenient accessibility to explore the best places of Iceland. Other than seeking the Northern Lights, we recommend taking a dip at hotel’s outdoor pool, surrounded by the beauty of the lava fields and mountain-scapes ( or melting glaciers during the snow seasons ). Luxurious and yet eco-friendly, it provides a magical experience for your Icelandic adventure.
